Honey Lemon Immune Boost

This immune boost syrup is great for all year-round, but especially during the winter months when everyone around you is fighting something! Not only does it give your immune system extra support, it tastes yummy, too! I like to make elderberry tea and add 1 tablespoon of the syrup to it!

Fresh Lemon Juice ~ Rich in vitamin C which helps boost the immune system and protect against illness.

Unrefined Coconut Oil ~ Antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in the MCT’s support the immune system as well as gut health by promoting healthy bacteria and aiding in nutrient absorption.

Real Local Honey ~ High levels of antioxidants, antibacterial and antiviral support your body’s defense system and provide perfect relief for a scratchy throat and suppressing coughs.

Apple Cider Vinegar ~ Antioxidants, acetic acid and probiotics all support a healthy gut environment which is crucial for a strong immune system.

Crushed Ginger ~ Anti-inflammatory and antioxidants reduce inflammation and protect your cells from damage and support your body’s defense system.

  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup unrefined coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup raw honey
  • 1 Tbsp (Braggs) ACV
  • Optional: 1 crushed ginger cube (I buy in the frozen section)

Heat on low while stirring lemon juice, coconut oil and apple cider vinegar together just until the coconut oil is warm enough to melt, then pull from the heat and stir in honey. Add a pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt if you have it. Have 1–2 Tbsp a few times a day until gone.

It’s best to store in a small glass jar and make just 1 batch at a time. I store my jar in my microwave because it stays warm, but if it hardens, reheat the entire jar in warm water on the stovetop just until it’s warm enough to melt the coconut oil when stirring. Make it often and enjoy!!
